Celtic Fans Shame Scotland

Travelling Celtic fans shamed Scotland once again at Saturday’s pre-season friendly against Brentford.

In addition to throwing smoke bombs onto the pitch and invading it at full-time, Celtic supporters reportedly sang songs mocking the recent death of drummer Lee Rigby – to the disgust of football fans across Britain.

Coming on the back of an arson attack upon the garage which houses the Rangers team bus – which may yet prove to be motivated by sectarianism – it is a black weekend for Scottish football.

And, of course, for those who are seeking to eradicate bigotry from our game.

The disgraceful scenes at Brentford will do nothing to help Celtic’s chances of a move to English football.

Social media sites were buzzing with people voicing their disgust at the appalling behaviour of the Celtic fans.

This is all on top of the sing-song in praise of terrorism which could be heard at the Cliftonville-Celtic game on Wednesday night.

Celtic CEO Peter Lawwell has a job on his hands trying to manage the reputation of the club after this PR own goal.

For a team that likes to boast about how many friends they have in football, these latest incidents will certainly stir up nothing but resentment in the footballing community.

And make the self-proclaimed greatest fans in the world most unwelcome on their travels…

Das Wochendene vom 23.-25. August würde sehr gut passen.

Am 23. und 24. spielen The Druids in der Nähe von Sligo.

Und am 25. spielen die Tones in Thurles Co. Tipperary.
Dafür gibts noch Karten. Beim Veranstalter kann man für 80 € ein Ticket mit Übernachtung kaufen.

The Druids hab ich schon gesehen, sehr starke Musik.

Wir könnten also am 23. nach Dublin fliegen und weiter nach Sligo fahren (per Zug würde ich vorschlagen).
Dort dann The Druids anschauen und dann wieder mit dem Zug nach Thurles fahren, die Tones anschauen und am Montag dann nach Dublin und heimfliegen. Vielleicht sogar noch bis Dienstag bleiben, müsst sich auch nausgehen bei mir.
