Da ist er 2014 zurückgetreten um mehr Zeit für seine Hobbys zu haben.

Das war zufälligerweise kurz nachdem sich die Arabtec an der Börse atomisiert hat.

Mit so einem Statement muss man sich auch erst mal vor seine Investoren hinstellen: "Seit ich das Ruder vor 2 Jahren übernommen habe, haben wir mit keinem Projekt mehr Geld verdient. Aber ich verklage jetzt erst mal meine Vorgänger im Amt."

Er war mal im Vorstand der arabtec und könnte einer der ominösen "Individuals" sein. So wohl die Überlegung.

Sind wir jetzt schon bei "könnte"? Mir fallen einige Dinge ein, die mir bei unserem Investor nicht gefallen, aber sein Engagement bei "Arabtec" gehört da nicht dazu. Und im Vergleich zu dem, was man bei einer deutschen Fußballmannschaft Geld "verbrennen" kann ist, selbst ein hohes, Anwaltsgehalt immer noch Peanuts.

... Sehr selten, dass da mal jemand für grob fahrlässige oder vorsätzliche Handlungen zum Schaden des Unternehmens rangenommen wird.

Was bei Präsidien, Vereinsverwaltungsräten, Abteilungsleitern etc. auch nicht anders ist.
Eben alles Ehrenamt.

Die Arabtec-Aktie hat von ihrem Höchststand 2014 ca. 90% ihres damaligen Wertes verloren. (http://www.finanzen.net/aktien/Arabtec-Aktie) Deshalb wahrscheinlich auch das Loch im Portemonnaie von HI weil er einen Großteil seines Vermögens wohl in Arabtech Aktien gehalten hat.

Wenn so etwas passiert, dann haben viele Leute Geld verloren, sind sauer und enttäuscht und suchen nach Schuldigen. Die Erfahrung zeigt, dass diese Suche meist im Nichts endet. Sehr selten, dass da mal jemand für grob fahrlässige oder vorsätzliche Handlungen zum Schaden des Unternehmens rangenommen wird.

"Everyone working in senior management and middle management who did not do their duties for the sake of Arabtec will be in court," Mr Al Rumaithi told shareholders at the company’s annual general meeting on Tuesday.
